I have worked with Alistair Hobson on numerous audio projects as both Director and Creative Producer. The pieces encompass a range of emotions, including comedy, frustration, sorrow, friendship and love. What Alistair manages to successfully achieve is to subtly help create a perfect balance between these emotions. Whilst honouring the script, he also creates a soundscape that truly enhances the desired ambiance of the drama. His sense of timing is spot on, and the attention to detail, not only through the editing, but also the inclusion of effects and choice of music, is both meticulous and exciting. His drive and going above and beyond what is called for, has always been in complete unison with what I have been striving for as the director, resulting in me personally creating some of my best work. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Alistair, as he would be a valuable addition to any Creative team.
